Divorce - Changing the Name on a Vehicle Title

If you are simply changing your name on the title from your married name to a different name, you must fill out the same forms but you should not need to provide an odometer reading or emissions test because ownership isn’t changing.  The Seller uses the married name, and the Buyer uses the new name.
